WEEK 2 LECTURE

okay so here's the thing...
I didn't actually go to the lecture cause I got called into work from 7:30.
but i did print off and read the lecture notes before the lecture... or maybe it was before the tute.
anyway.. the point is i was prepared.
what i got out of the notes was, pretty much what the title promised,
'a short history of computing and the internet.'

theres really no point in me relaying points from the lecture notes because
a: i know for a fact you already know
and
b: thats not what the lecture blog posts are meant to be about. **see i do listen** haha.

so im just going to mention the interesting parts i found - i was going to post a blog about what i learnt... but i knew hardly anything before i read the notes, so its safe to say i learnt a lot - anyway... i found the part about apple and its creation really interesting, then reading about the possible demise and the competion from IBM - hectic.

okay and this whole thing about the internet and web not being the same thing? what the hell?
that totally confused me. and i already knew a bit about e-mail and IRC etc. but it was still interesting to read.
